“The pen is mightier than the sword.” Words are powerful, either written or spoken. Words can make a child feel loved or cut them to the heart making them think they are unworthy of anyone’s love.

Words can do good or destroy.

Hebrews 4:12 tells us, “For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”

This month we learn through Paul’s letter to Timothy how important it is for all of us to correctly handle The Word of Truth. Paul also reminds us; we should also Set an Example in Speech.
