All of us go through trials. It is a part of life. Thankfully, for most of us, those trials are not as great as those Job suffered in such a short period of time. We do not always understand the why. As God points out to Job, God’s wisdom is way beyond the wisdom of man. Romans 8:28 promises whatever happens in our lives, God will use that for “the good.” That good is to build godly character in our lives. “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” In this month’s commentary, Scarlett Stough poses the question, “If you were granted the fulfillment of three (and only three) requests from God, what three things would you ask him to grant? “ Is there a request that you can think of that would help you in the trial you may be going through? Think about your answer to the question before you read the commentary. Did you come up with the same answer? Come join us as we study, “Where Then is My Hope?" |
